The Tacoma School District offers the following Health and Welfare plans to all eligible* employees through The Sound Partnership:
Medical: members have a choice of eight medical plans.
Dental: members have a choice of two dental plans.
Life: members are provided basic $25,000 life insurance with options to increase coverage and include family members.
Vision: members are provided Davis Vision Plan with options for non-Davis providers.
Long Term Disability: members are provided at no cost 60% of base salary up to $5,000 per month.
Long Term Care: members may purchase various levels of long-term care coverage.
Group Legal: allows members to purchase coverage through ARAG, including coverage for wills, power of attorney, adoptions, etc.
Employee Assistance Program: members are provided up to three visits for assessment regarding mental health, family counseling and/or substance abuse.
Other Programs Available: Short Term Disability, Cancer/Intensive Care and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
