We warmly invite all parents and community members to visit our school. You will find our students enthusiastic and actively involved in their education.  At Washington-Hoyt we focus on the development of the whole child. 

We have a rigorous academic program focused on the optimal development of academic skills in each of our students, but it’s also a program that’s sensitive to the needs and learning styles of each student.  We strive to enrich every student’s understanding of the arts and civic responsibility.  For example, this year’s selection of Enrichment Assemblies included the Stadium Jazz Band, the Tears of Joy Puppet Show, the Bo Chin Che Latin Dance Rhythms, the Northwest Opera in Schools, and the Museum of Flight.  We also sponsored the Missoula Children’s Theater, and WHAM, our after school art program, and our Chess Club, our Math Club, our Spanish Program, our Book Fair and our Science Fair.  Our students taste civic responsibility by being involved in student led activities such as our governing Student Council, our conservation oriented Student Green School Committee, and our safety focused Student Playground Committee.
