PT DEFIANCE ELEMENTARY
KINDERGARTEN SUPPLIES
At the beginning of the year, teachers will collect a one-time $25 from each student and the teachers will purchase each student’s supplies for the year.
1st Grade SUPPLIES
1. backpack 2. 2 spiral notebooks (single subject)
3. Crayola crayons - 24 box (NO bigger!) 4. 2 Elmer’s Glues (4oz. bottles) & 10 glue sticks
5. 4 pink pearl erasers 6. 2 doz. sharpened yellow pencils
7. scissors (Fiskar is the best!) 8. folder with two pockets
9. Kleenex (box of 200) 10. 1 box Ziploc bags (sandwich size)
11.Washable Markers 12. Class Size Bottle of Hand Sanitizer
13. Colored Pencils (Optional - Mrs. Grassi’s Class)14. School Box (Mrs. Severson’s Class)
- A lot of these supplies may become community supplies depending on the classroom assigned. There may be one or two more items requested in addition at the beginning of the year.
2nd Grade SUPPLIES
Individual student:
-Backpack or book bag -Large zipper pencil pouch
-2 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons -3 plain red folders
-3 plain yellow folders -one pencil sharpener
-One 5 pack of spiral notebooks- wide ruled -$5.00 for Weekly Reader
-One 3 subject spiral notebook-wide ruled
Community Use:
-Crayola Markers- 8 pack -Elmer’s glue- 8oz white only
-12 glue sticks -4 dozen #2 pencils
-2 large pink erasers -24 ruby tip erasers
-Zip lock bags- gallon and quart size -1 large box of Kleenex
-2 packages of wide ruled paper -Fiskar scissors (sharp point only)
-1 set of colored pencils -1 ream of color copy paper
-1 ream of white copy paper
3rd Grade SUPPLIES
-2 packages white binder paper- wide-ruled -2 dozen pencils
-2 large erasers -2 spiral notebooks – wide ruled
-1 Composition book – wide ruled -3 folders (with pockets)
-3 glue sticks -Box of 24 crayons
-Box of 12 colored pencils -1 box Kleenex
If child’s name begins with: -1 ream copy paper – white
A – M – 8oz. container of Purell hand sanitizer
N – Z – 1 container of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes
4th grade SUPPLIES
Fourth grade classrooms have tables. Some supplies are individual and others are combined. Please follow the list below as close as possible and the teachers will organize the supplies on the first day. Please label all individual supplies in permanent marker.
Whole Class (combined) Supplies:
-400 sheets wide-ruled notebook paper -1 large box of Kleenex
-1 ream of white copy paper -1 (1 quart) Ziploc bag
Individual Supplies:
-1 large (at least 2 inch) 3 ring binder -5 folders (with holes for binder)
-4 single subject spiral notebooks -1 composition notebook
-2 dozen yellow #2 pencils -2 erasers
-3 glue sticks -1 box colored pencils
-1 pair of scissors -1 ruler
-1 watercolor palette set -1 box of skinny markers
-1 plastic school box -1 jar of rubber cement
Optional: USB memory stick to save work on computers & Hand sanitizer
5th Grade Supplies
- 3 ringed notebook any type (at least a 11/2 inch wide binding)
-Binders that zip closed hold up best and help keep papers, pencils, and things “tucked in.”
-4 durable folders or peechees (bottom pockets) – the lightweight, cheaper folders will not hold up
- Hand-held pencil sharpener with container to hold shavings
- Zippered pencil pouch or something to hold pencils inside binder
-“Scotch Tape” style tape dispenser (disposable kind – doesn’t have to be Scotch brand, though)
- One ream of white copy paper – helpful to have for writing, art, projects, etc.
-A number of these supplies will be collected and used as community supplies in class.
-3 composition notebooks (wide ruled) -3 spiral notebooks
-Wide ruled notebook paper – 500 sheets -Scissors – adult size
-At least 4 dozen pencils – please sharpen - Colored pencils
-At least 3 glue sticks -1 bottle of white glue
-Highlighters – 1 each of yellow, pink, blue, green - Pencil top erasers
-Book bag or backpack -Markers
- 1 box of Kleenex type tissue - 1 bottle of hand sanitizer (at least 2 ounces)
- USB drive – 512 MB is sufficient
