Parents/guardians are required to call the main office at (253) 571-6900 on the day of an absence or send a note upon students return to school explaining the reason for each absence.  The note should include the day of absence and the parent/guardian signature. If you are planning a vacation you will need to fill out a vacation form two weeks prior to your trip.  Vacation forms can be obtained in the office.  Students will need to complete any and all work from teachers upon return.

Washington State Law,  RCW28A.225.010, requires schools to report to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, any student with more than 5 unexcused absences in a month or 10 in a year.  Please complete a Vacation form in advance if your child will be absent from school.  We encourage regular attendance and hope you will limit vacations and appointments to outside the regular school days.  We understand that sometimes that is not possible but please remember to keep the lines of communication open.
