Welcome to our school, Edison Elementary, the best school in Tacoma!!!

With over 500 students, Edison continues to be one of the larger schools in the district, serving students in Head Start through the 5th grade. At Edison, we continue to be a district site for health care services, and have a full time LPN and a full time RN to meet the needs of our students with special medical requirements.

Edison is also a host site for the district English Language Learners who speak languages other than English, such as Russian, Spanish, Cambodian, or Vietnamese. A full time ELL teacher and paraprofessional are located at Edison to provide support to students who need English language support or translation services in the classroom and at yearly conferences. 

Edison Elementary partners with many businesses and resources in the community to help our Edison families throughout the school year.

These businesses include: Starbucks, Cash and Carry, Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiwanis of Tacoma, Pacific Lutheran University, Washington State University Extension Services, Tacoma Police Department, Tacoma Fire Department, Round Table Pizza, Safeway, Straightline Construction, Community Based Services/City of Tacoma, and the Edison Parent Teacher Association.

Together, we work to create a place where students are equipped and prepared for school with materials and supplies in an academically rich and safe learning environment.
