Dear Bryant Families and Community,
Happy New Year! Bryant Montessori School is extremely excited to be back in session for 2012. Staff and students are working diligently on math, reading, writing, social studies, science and numerous other learning activities. It is a joy to watch the excitement as they participate in music, P.E., and library, too! We appreciate the support we see from all of you as our students gain skills necessary for continued success in school and life.
This month is filled with great opportunity as the search continues for a new principal. Superintendent-Elect Carla Santorno and Bryant Montessori School’s Elementary Director Johnson are searching for an outstanding administrator to continue the mission of our school. Superintendent-Elect Santorno will hold four community meetings with parents and staff on January 18 at 4:30 P.M. and 6:30 P.M., January 19 at 7:00 P.M. and Friday, January 20 at 7:00 A.M. The meeting on Friday, January 20 is already full. Please call to reserve your spot if you would like to attend one of the meetings. They are limited to a maximum of 15 people per meeting.
Tours will begin soon for prospective students. We are committed to maintaining our Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade program at Bryant. If you have friends who are interested in visiting our school, please have them contact our office for a tour.
This month our staff will come together on Tuesday, January 17 for an exciting day of professional development. We will cover topics including Mathematics, Closing the Achievement Gap, Partnerships with Parents and Community, and our School Improvement Plan for 2011-2012. It will be a busy, yet productive day. We will continue our work on February 6 when we will have another opportunity to work together. Please remember that January 17 and February 6 are non-student days.
We are looking forward to our PTO Meeting on Tuesday, January 10 at 6:00 P.M. On Friday, January 27 our PTO is sponsoring a Family Fun Night from 5-8 P.M. We hope to see you there.
