Wilson first to use software to promote reading

Wilson High School Assistant Principal Christine Brandt reads to her daughter Valerie on a new poster created with new software to promote reading in schools. The software makes it easy for a school to use photos of its own staff members and students to motivate and inspire other students to read. Four-year-old Valerie Brandt was asked to select her favorite book and she picked "Big Sister Dora" from the Dora Explorer collection for the photo shoot.

Principal Dan Besett said, “It's the first picture of our project. We plan to make a number of these posters which will be displayed in our library and selected classrooms. The software we are using is a spinoff from the national advertising project where you see famous actors and athletes promoting reading on posters. Ram Country is the first school to take advantage of the poster software!”
