Registration for fall semester at the Twilight Academy – Tacoma’s evening high school – starts now. Twilight Academy combines online and classroom instructional programs that provide face-to-face support and classroom instruction on core subjects for students who need to make up credits while staying on track to graduate. Certified instructors provide direct instruction in math and English in addition to online learning.
Twilight Academy provides a flexible, convenient and rich learning environment to fulfill the needs of students who require a non-traditional learning environment. Because of the unique nature of online learning, students can work online at the Twilight Academy in a monitored environment where assistance is provided in real time.
Twilight Academy classes align to Tacoma Public Schools’ curriculum. All classes are taken for credit retrieval and will be reported to the student’s high school. Student’s grade and credit will appear on his/her transcript from his/her high school.
Tacoma students and students in other districts 16 to 20 years of age may sign up for Twilight Academy classes. Each class will meet for one hour and 15 minutes, Monday through Thursday, between 4 and 8 p.m. The Twilight Academy is located at Foss High School, 2112 S. Tyler St., Tacoma.
