Superintendent Art Jarvis announced today new principal and assistant principal assignments for the 2011-2012 school year, basing the assignment decisions on the best match between each principal’s strengths and an assessment of each school’s needs.
New assignments include:
Foss High School
• Assistant Principal Justina Johnson, who transfers from Mount Tahoma High School
Mount Tahoma High School
• Assistant Principal Marva Richardson-Gillespie, who transfers from Wilson High School
Wilson High School
• Assistant Principal Yvonne Bullock, who transfers from Gray Middle School
Stadium High School
• Assistant Principal Tim Berndt, who was assistant principal on special assignment for the data warehouse project at the Central Administration Building but was reassigned as night school coordinator to Foss High School for the next school year
Baker Middle School
• Assistant Principal Tracy Allen, who transfers from First Creek Middle School
First Creek Middle School
• Principal Brad Brown, who transfers from Giaudrone Middle School
• Assistant Principal Kate Frazier, who transfers from Sheridan Elementary School
Giaudrone Middle School
• Assistant Principal Norma Barrineau, who transfers from Foss High School
Meeker Middle School
• Principal Christine Brandt, who transfers from Wilson High School
Sheridan Elementary School
• Assistant Principal Kelly Wedum, who transfers from Lyon Elementary School
Two vacancies remain for an assistant principal at Wilson and Foss high schools. Bryon Bahr, who was the assistant principal at Foss High School but has been reassigned to Wilson High School for the next school year, has accepted a position with the Rainier School District as principal of Rainier Middle and High Schools.
