The Southside Safety Summit will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Edison Elementary School, 5830 S. Pine St., Tacoma. The summit sessions will cover:
- Community mobilization with Safe Streets
- Gang awareness education
- Internet safety
- Harassment, intimidation and bullying awareness
Various community organizations will be available to provide information and services. Interpreters will be available for Spanish- and Russian-speaking families.
The summit event will include free dinner, free child care with activities for children ages three and up, and a raffle that will include restaurant gift certificates and flower bouquets.
