Community members, current and former students, staff members and families are invited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hunt Middle School on Thursday, June 4. The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. in the Commons at Hunt, 6501 S. 10th St.
Activities include building tours, decade-by-decade memorabilia, memory book pages, T-shirt sales and more. Wes Burmark, a former Hunt Scottie, will provide an entertaining overview of Hunt at 6:45 p.m. in the cafetorium. The spring band concert will be held at 7 p.m. under the direction of David Bee, followed by root beer floats and additional time to enjoy the other activities. The architectural firm of McGranahan Architects will show the schematic designs for the new building which will be funded by a future bond issue.
