Feb. 24 public hearing to surplus district properties

The Feb. 10 public hearing to take testimony on a proposal to surplus three district properties under RCW 28A.335.120 has been rescheduled to Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Central Administration Building, fourth-floor auditorium, 601 S. Eighth St. The properties are:
 
Willard Site (1.9 acres)
3201 S. “D” St., Tacoma

Cirque and Alameda Site (15 acres)
SE corner of Cirque and Alameda streets, Tacoma

Camp Joshua Taylor (20 acres)
19607 Bay Road, Longbranch, Wash.

When the school board changed the venue for its Feb. 10 board meeting to Foss High School, there was not enough time, according to policy, to notify the public about the change in venue. The public hearing to surplus three properties was rescheduled to the Feb. 24 board meeting to give at least a two-week notice to the public.
