Enter Korean video contest

Published: 4/25/2012

Are you a friend of Korea and want to enter a video contest? If so, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Republic of Korea are hosting a video contest titled “I love Korea because…” For this contest, you must share why you love Korea and a few of your impressions as well. The only entry qualification is that you must be of non-Korean descent.

The guidelines for the video contest are to make an original video no longer than three minutes expressing why you love Korea and its attractions including culture, K-POP, landscapes and economic development--or your own personal experiences related to Korea. You may make the video with any multimedia device (i.e. cell phone, digital camera, video camera or digital device). Next, you must upload the video on YouTube or any other legal social networking sites that allows you to upload video.

There will be a total of 11 winners for the video contest. The grand prize will be a Korean brand car accompanied by an invitation to Korea’s K-POP live show, including round-trip airfare to Korea. Gold prizes will be awarded to two winners who will receive a Korean brand laptop. Silver prize winners will receive a Korean brand tablet PC; bronze prize winners will receive a Korean brand digital camera.

If chosen, your work may be used for the promotion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Trade of the Republic of Korea. The copyright of the submitted works becomes vested with the Ministry.

Lastly, to insure that your video is received, fill in the application form and e-mail it to culturemofat@gmail.com culturemofat@mofat.go.kr. The application deadline is May 20. Winner results will be individually announced June 11.
