The College Bound Scholarship sign‑up event will be held on Saturday, April 17, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Tacoma Community College, 6501 S. 19th St., Tacoma. The College Bound Scholarship would give eligible students a chance to attend college and have the state of Washington pay for tuition at a public or private university, community college or technical college for up to four years.
“Tacoma is College Bound” is sponsored by the Tacoma Public Schools, Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board (HECB), Tacoma Community College, Metropolitan Development Council, Tacoma Housing Authority and College Success Foundation.
