How can I set up the student computer to print to the printer? |
You can add the printer as stated above but it will not be present on the reboot because student computers have Deep Freeze installed. Contact Technology Help Line at 4357 (HELP).

On the laptop keyboard, select the keys Fn-F4 and this will toggle between the different projections. |
How can I back-up my data/documents on my desktop computer? |
Every district employee has a Home "H" network drive assigned to them and accessible with logging into any pc. You can back up your items to this drive by either: Save as and choose the "h" drive in the drop down selection or open your "h" drive and drag/drop items into it.

What can I do to help with my slow computer? |
One possible cause of computer slowness is that it may need to be defragged. Open My Computer and right click on the "c" drive, left click on Properties, click on the Tools tab, then under Defragmentation click on Defragment Now...Analyze and wait for the prompt to defrag.
Another option is to do a Disk cleanup. Open My Computer and right click on the "c" drive, left click on Properties, General Tab and select Disk Cleanup. |

How can I adjust my desktop view? |
Right Click on your desktop and left click on Properties then Settings. The more resolution, your icons will appear small. Decrease the resolution and your desktop icons are large. |
How come I cannot get online with my computer? |
First you need to check the network connection on the computer. This is where the ethernet cable is connected to the computer. You should see a flashing light of orange/green. Also check other computers in your room to see if they have a connection. If you do not have any connection in the room, call Technology Help Line at 4357 (HELP). |
I saved items to my desktop & after rebooting, the items are not there. |
District computers have an application installed call Deep Freeze. You will see this in the bottom right of your screen. It appears as a Polar Bear. If there is not a red circle with a line thru it, your deskop is frozen and will not allow items to be saved to it. This is enabled on student computers. If this is your staff computer, call Technology Help Line at 4357 (HELP). |
