How do I get my user
name and password for ...?
Novell Client - The Network Department will assign your
username and password with email information after your district
orientation and processing HR paperwork. You will receive this in
the interoffice mail. If you haven't received this information, please
call HELP at extension 4357.

MSOutlook/Web Email - This is the same log on infor-
mation as your Novell.

Lawson ESS - This is the same log on information as your
Novell.
______________________________________________________
 
TAD - This is set up by each school Principal or office staff.

eSIS - On the Tacoma Public Schools website click on the
For Staff in the bottom right. On the Staff Page under Online
Tools click on eSIS Basic Training:

After completion, you will receive your username and password.
How do I access my
archive emails:

There are 3 ways to access your archive emails.

1. Within your MSOutlook Client you will find the Archive
Manager Search in the as one of your Mail Items on the
left hand side.

2. On your desktop, there is an icon in the ZENworks
Application folder called Archive Manager that you can
double-click to open.

3. Use this url: https://archive.tacoma.k12.wa.us/

Enter your username like this:
Username: tps-ad\jdoe
Password: Your Novell password

How do I get access to
the Tacoma Public Schools network if I am a new district employee?

​You  need to complete the Digital Resources Contract and Network Access
Form:

New District Employee
How do I get access to
the Tacoma Public Schools network if I am not a district employee?

How do I update my TPS
Network log on if I have
changed my name?


Non District Employee



Name and/or Location Change

(Upon completion, forward to Technology Services, Attention: Network Analyst,
CAB, Room 301 or fax 571-1072 for processing

How do I change my
password?

Select Ctrl-Alt-Delete on your keyboard and choose "Change
Password". After changing your password, log off and log back in to sync the new password.

How can I log on to
another PC Computer?

You will need to use your long user name which consist of the
following:

username - sub group - site - tps

Example:  .jdoe.staff.arlington.tps

Tacoma Public Schools staff in a substitute position will have
.username.subs.tps

How do I submit a work order request?

There are 3 ways to request help:

1. Call the Customer Care Center at 4357 (HELP).

2. Call the Customer Care Center at 4357 (HELP) and select option 4
to leave a voice message. Information needed: Your full name, telephone
number, room & location and summary of assistance needed.

3. Email the Customer Care Center at:

HELP@tacoma.k12.wa.us

My computer/monitor is
not powering on. What should I check first?

The first step will be to check all power cord connections. If needed,
unplug and plug the power cord back into either the computer or monitor.
Secondly, check if your surge protector is turned on or reset. If the current
plug-in connection on the surge is not working, try another plug on the
surge protector. Sometimes, an individual plug will go dead.
