Nutrition Services

It's National School Breakfast Week and this year's theme is Be a Star with School Breakfast. Be a Star with School Breakfast highlights how eating a healthy school breakfast allows children to be their very best.

The Tacoma School District, Nutrition Services Department, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Child Nutrition Program provides nutritious meals that promote learning.

Lunch consists of:

  • Entrée - Hot entrée, sandwich, or salad
  • Self serve fruit and vegetable bar - Students can select from a minimum of four fruits and four vegetables daily
  • 8 oz. 1% milk or non-fat chocolate milk
  • Occasional desserts

Breakfast consists of:

  • Entrée - Minimum of three choices
  • Fruit, vegetable or juice
  • 8 oz. 1% Milk or non-fat chocolate milk
