Stanley Elementary School

Stanley Elementary School offers students in preschool through grade five a sound foundation in science through six academies in life science, earth science and physical science. The concepts are integrated through the other content areas of literacy, math, social studies and the arts. The staff participates in ongoing professional development in the areas of literacy, science, technology and curriculum integration to deliver an instructional program according to current best practices. To support our science focus, our school has 2 computer labs networked with classrooms and the library and science rooms. An outdoor classroom (greenhouse, raised garden beds and native garden) provides hands-on learning experiences. Our inclusion classrooms provide instructional programs for all students, including special-needs students, within the classroom with assistance from support staff. Students and staff maintain high standards for academic and social performance. School uniforms support pride and unity and contribute to a learning environment.
